Berry Creek Community Library is dedicated to being a hub of community involvement, creativity, and lifelong learning for our surrounding area.
Plan of Service 2016 - 2018
Engaging Students - Stimulating imaginations by promoting reading, viewing and listening for pleasure.
Goals: Fostering a love of reading in students, providing programs and tools to prepare them for success in school and in their futures.
Keep teens engaged in library resources and services. Provide programs with playschool.
Objective: We will spend one 40 minute school period per month to work with the students, teaching them about Solaro, Tumblebooks, ORC, Mango and other eResources that they will find interesting and helpful for their studies.
Involving Community - Satisfying curiosity, pursuing lifelong learning.
Goals: Offer a wide range of evening programs, explore topics of personal interest, enrichment and leisure pursuits.
Offer programs in partnership with Project Reach, whose main office is in our library. Their mission is to work with families to foster habits of mental and physical wellbeing.
Objective: To reach this goal we will host 5 workshops or programs per year.
Promoting Technology - Connect to the online world, public internet access.
Our library is no longer just about books, but also enabling people to gain access to the ever growing resources and services of the digital world.
Goals: Promote eResouces and teach new skills to our patrons.
Encourage community members to visit the library and use the public internet.
Objective: We will offer at least 4 workshops per year to advance and promote eResource skills.
